Testimony and Court Etiquette: Prosecutor David Sutter Returns for Essential CASA Training

  • Ivy Tech Madison Campus 590 Ivy Tech Drive Madison, IN, 47250 United States (map)

Active members of CASA of Jefferson County are set to benefit from a foundational, closed-door training session focused on courtroom efficacy, led by veteran Prosecutor David Sutter.

Sutter, a long-time and highly valued resource within the CASA network, is extending his expertise in "Effective Court Testimony and Basic Court Etiquette," a crucial program he has provided for the organization for years. Recognizing that the impact of an advocate’s finding relies heavily on its clear and professional presentation, this intensive training is designed to equip volunteers with the strategic knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of judicial hearings. New members to he organization will learn how to maintain composure under cross-examination, utilize appropriate courtroom decorum, and deliver credible, impactful testimony that effectively champions the best interests of the children they serve. For existing CASA volunteers, the session will serve as an essential brush-up, reinforcing best practices and ensuring their continued readiness to advocate effectively in the courtroom.

This is a closed training for active members of CASA of Jefferson County.
