Program Coordinator for CASA Plays a Vital Role as the Dedicated Representative for the Jefferson County Kiwanis

Kiwanis club members are driven by a profound dedication to serving the needs and nurturing the potential of children, embodying a commitment that extends far beyond simple good deeds.

Through their support of key Kiwanis causes, these passionate volunteers directly impact the lives of countless young people. They champion initiatives in health and nutrition, ensuring children have the foundational well-being necessary to thrive; they foster growth through education and literacy programs, opening doors to future opportunities; and they empower the next generation through youth leadership development, cultivating confident and responsible citizens. Thanks to these multifaceted efforts, every project, every hour volunteered, and every dollar raised contributes to an impact that truly lasts, shaping positive trajectories from the earliest stages of infancy through the crucial transitions of early adulthood.

Brenda Holbrook, in her capacity as Program Coordinator for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), plays a vital role as the dedicated representative for the Jefferson County Kiwanis and sits on the Board of Directors and Program Committee for the newly chartered organization. This crucial partnership bridges the essential advocacy work of CASA with the community-focused initiatives of the Kiwanis club.

Through her involvement, Brenda and fellow Kiwanis Club individual member and CASA Board Member John Hutchinson, ensure that Kiwanis members are regularly updated on CASA's mission to provide a voice for abused and neglected children in the local court system. Their consistent presence fosters a strong relationship, enabling the Kiwanis members to better understand how their support, whether through financial contributions, volunteer efforts, or awareness campaigns, directly impacts the lives of vulnerable youth in Jefferson County.

This collaboration exemplifies how dedicated individuals like Brenda and John facilitate meaningful community engagement to serve those most in need. We are immensely proud that Brenda, on behalf of CASA of Jefferson County, has been an active and contributing member of Kiwanis since 2024.

I have worked with Kiwanis Clubs through other nonprofit organizations and witnessed firsthand how a dedicated group of volunteers can come together with compassion, kindness, and generosity to initiate positive change in their communities by focusing on the future of their children. When the opportunity arose to become a corporate member, I was proud to represent CASA in this initiative.” She added, “As a newly chartered organization, we are looking to continue the amazing work of those before us in Jefferson County by revitalizing the Kiwanis mission and broadening our impact by growing our membership to help support projects and programs for youth in our area. Please feel free to reach out for more information on how you can join our efforts.
