CASA of Jefferson County Announces New Home and New Experience for Art with the Pieces 2027

CASA of Jefferson County is excited to announce that its signature fundraising event, Art with the Pieces — now featuring dueling pianos, will take place at Richwood on the River on March 20, 2027, marking the first year the event will be held at this local venue.

The move to Richwood on the River comes with an exciting new direction for the annual event, combining the creativity of local student artists with an evening of dinner, live auction experiences, community recognition and high-energy entertainment.

Art with the Pieces will once again feature the work of Eric Phagan and his students at Madison Jr. High, who create unique, one-of-a-kind artwork for the event. The partnership has become a valued part of Art with the Pieces, giving students an opportunity to showcase their creativity while helping support CASA of Jefferson County's mission to advocate for children involved in the court system.

Guests will enjoy dinner provided by Dinning with Gabor & More, followed by a live auction featuring an array of distinctive items and experiences. The evening will also include recognition of two Champions for Children, honoring individuals whose efforts over the past year have made a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in the community.

Then the evening will shift into celebration mode as Felix & Fingers Dueling Pianos takes the stage. The interactive performance will headline the second half of the evening, bringing music, requests and plenty of energy to the event.

Introducing the Golden Ticket

Art with the Pieces 2027 will also introduce an exciting new opportunity for guests through the Golden Ticket.

A limited number of Golden Tickets will be available for purchase before the event and during the evening. One Golden Ticket holder will win a specially curated treasure chest filled with an assortment of prizes that may include gift cards, gift certificates, merchandise, tickets, spirits and other surprises.

With a limited number of Golden Tickets available, the opportunity gives guests another chance to walk away with something special while supporting CASA of Jefferson County. Guests do not have to be present to win this prize!

Art with the Pieces has been an important event for CASA for many years, but in 2027, guests are going to experience a very different evening,” said Whitney Pennington, Executive Director of CASA of Jefferson County. “We didn’t simply add dueling pianos to the existing event. We took a look at the entire evening—from the venue and entertainment to the live auction, dinner, student artwork, and the overall flow of the event—and reimagined how all of those pieces come together. We wanted to keep the parts of Art with the Pieces that people have grown to love while creating something that feels new, exciting, and worth coming back to year after year. The mission behind the evening has not changed, but the experience absolutely has.

Seating for Art with the Pieces will be limited. Tickets will go on sale later in 2026, with ticket information to be announced through CASA of Jefferson County's social media channels and website.
