Wheels on the Water: Another Incredible Year Supporting CASA

Thornton’s Motorcycle Sales hosted its 8th Annual Wheels on the Water Bike Show this weekend, marking the fourth consecutive year that proceeds from this event have benefited CASA of Jefferson County.

Nearly 70 participants entered their motorcycles into the bike show competition, while Vaughn Drive was filled with an estimated 250 motorcycles throughout the day. It was an incredible sight and an even better reminder of how many people are willing to show up in support of children in our community. Guests enjoyed food from Small Town Kettle Corn, Michael Eddy’s, and Troublemakers Food Truck, along with a day full of motorcycles, community, and great company.

Wheels on the Water has become one of our favorite events each year, but what makes it so special to us goes far beyond the fundraiser itself. After four years of working together, we have truly come to consider the Thornton’s crew part of our CASA family. Their continued generosity, friendship, and belief in our mission mean more to us than we can adequately express.

Events like this also introduce CASA to people we may not otherwise have the opportunity to reach. Every person who attends, participates, donates, purchases a raffle ticket, or simply learns a little more about CASA helps strengthen the network of community support surrounding the children and volunteers we serve.

To everyone at Thornton’s Motorcycle Sales who puts the time and work into making Wheels on the Water happen year after year: thank you for choosing CASA. Thank you for welcoming us, supporting our work, and continuing to stand behind our mission.

And to every rider, participant, vendor, sponsor, volunteer, and community member who joined us on Vaughn Drive—thank you for making the 9th Annual Wheels on the Water another wonderful day. We are incredibly fortunate to have Friends of CASA like you.
